My Lovely Friends,

Monday 29 November 2010

Just another Christmas card,

Hi, well I survived my walk this morning, no falls, it even snowed a little mind you if I'd taken a cat nap I'd have missed it lol, still flippin freezing though, Jim's outside seeing to the lagging on the boiler pipe that goes out side,

MEN!, pitch dark, freezing cold, and he starts pottering about on step ladders!!!
I made this card a few days ago another commissioned card but I just realised I'd not put it on my blog lol,
This gorgeous image is of course a Lily of the Valley stamp as is the 25th Dec image,  I've decoupaged the roof section on the mail box and layered it with Pin Flair glue, the frame is made out of a Martha Stewart Layered Arch punch, the papers are Magnolia, images are coloured in Copics,
Spellbinders tag, with a  computer generated sentiment inside, flowers from stash,

Challenges:
Anything goes ~ Animals,
Simon says stamp ~ Let it snow,

Hope you all have a lovely night, see you soon,

Yum Yum!

It's flippin freezing here! lol,

I know some of us brits have got snow, well we haven't yet but it was minus 6 last night at 9,0clock so who knows what it was in the night, and a  bit worrying our central heating made a loud bang when it came on this morning but at least it came on, more than it did last year lol,

Here's my DCD DT card, which this week is
Candy/Sweets

The images are coloured with Copics, cut out, then layered onto one of Susie's Die Cuts from here, the ticket is a Tim Holtz which I've just added loads of Glamour Dust too, going to have to buy more of this soon,
The lovely images were sent to me as a RAK from my lovely friend Mandy ages ago thanks hun,
Challenges:
Charisma cardz ~ One for the girls,
Fab n Funky ~ Go with the flow,
For Fun ~ Anything goes,
Paper Cutz ~ Anything goes,

Hopefully I'll be back soon! lol

Ps hope this loads ok as it's just lost my main picture so I've had to re-enter it!!
is MR Blogger cold too! lol,

Oh Christmas Tree!

Well as you already know I've got Lumbago, so seeing as I can't do much except wait till it gets better I thought I'd do another Christmas card for my stash lol,
I was getting distinct withdrawal symptoms from lack of Tildas, as the person who ordered my commissioned cards didn't really do Tilda,

I've followed the sketch over at Magnolia Down Under and would have loved to sew my papers but there is no way I could lift my machine at the moment so they are just distressed instead,
I stamped the scene, cut it out, coloured it with my Copics, the snow effect is a mixture of Glamour Dust and on the trees, roofs, and mounds at the side of the path I've used Liquid Applique, the tree on the left has been stamped coloured then I've stamped some more branches one for each layer, coloured them , cut them out, shaped them added Liquid Applique then layered them onto the stamped tree with Pin Flair glue, these I've then attached to the edge of the circle when the glue dried,
Tilda is also coloured with Copics, given the Glamour dust treatment, cut out and layered on to the card again with Pinflair glue,

The finishing touches are,
Nestie scalloped circle die,
LOTV Sentiment stamp,
Quickcutz corner die,
Pearls, ribbon, heart pins from stash,
Papermania cardstock,
I'm entering this into Magnolia Down Under, there may be more challenges out there that this would go into but my backs had enough, so after I've up loaded this I'm  off to rest it,
Edited to add,
A spoon full of Sugar challenge ~ Anything goes,
Papertake weekly ~ Cut it out,
Everybody Art ~ Use shapes
Magnolia stamp lovers ~ punch it up

Hope your all ok,

Christmas tree's here!

You know how I said I'd be back with some more cards, fatal to say things like that isn't it, I've got Lumbago and so my crafting has stopped for the time being as I've a job to move, can just about sit here to do this, it usually goes on for  about four days or so well I' hope it's no longer anyway,

Luckily I'd already made my project for this weeks Die Cut dreams challenge which is anything but a card,
and the lucky winner will win a Guest DT spot for challenge #78, which is on the week of the 13th December,

I've made this which can be put on the table at Christmas for decoration and later moved to somewhere else if needed,
I used a tin lid I had, which I drew round on some paper, cut out, distressed the edges and stuck on the top, ribbon is run around the sides for the hint of red colour to match Tilda and the paper,
The scene is coloured using Distress inks as are the Christmas trees, but these I have cut out , the front single tree is cut out also but I've also cut every layer then raised the cut parts with Pin Flair glue after slightly shaping the branches,

Tilda is coloured with Copics, and the same Liquid Applique is added to the tree, all the images have tags at the back to allow the images to stand upright, and I have added these at angles to create the 3D effect,

Challenges:
All That scraps~ Magnolia Blog,
Bunny Zoes ~ Christmas but not a card,
Magnolia-licious Highlites ~ Home Sweet Home,
DCD Christmas~ Anything Goes,
Ellephantastic~ Christmas themed card or project,
Winter Wonderland~ Make a Decoration,
Stamptacular Sunday~ A time for Giving (No Cards) I may give it to my mum or my daughter,

I've still got those commissioned cards to make too, so I hope this Lumbago goes soon lol,

Come and join us at Die Cut Dreams, look forward to seeing you soon,

Merry Christmas

Hey I'm back, and it's only 1.30 lol,
This card is another one for a commission and I've been asked for posh! well I hope this fits the bill!!!!
Again I've left it fairly unadorned, no flowers etc, because they may be posting it and I can't lumber them with loads of postal cost can I?

Challenges,
Whiff Of Joy ~ Sketch,

I thought this gorgeous Whiff of Joy image fit the criteria perfectly as she's certainly elegant, and I've coloured her with Copics and added silver stickles  glitter glue for her bow and shoe,
The edges of the main image are heat embossed using silver embossing powder and I've distressed the edges of the card too, the paper edges are all sewn and again distressed,
I've tweaked the sketch a little as I usually do lol,
The papers are from the Ella Blue collection by GCD and I've used my Martha Stewart Doily punch on the edges of the brown paper,
The sparkle on the bow really doesn't show at all well on here because the day is so dull,
ribbon is from stash and the lovely charm is from Susie at DCD here,
I'm off now to make some more commissioned cards, so I'll be back soon,
 Have fun,

Another two for you!

Well Thursday's here again and so it's time for the  colour create and paperplay challenges again,
Over at colour create this week we have a colour scheme chosen by our Mega talented Janiel,
and our fantastic sponsor is Bunny Zoe's, wish I could enter this too!

The colours are,
Robin egg blue, Sea foam Green and cream with the optional extra of winter,
I love these colours and love the bedding in the picture too lol,

Challenges,
A spoonful of Sugar ~ Distressing,
DCD Christmas challenge  ~ Snowflakes,
ABC Christmas challenge ~ X is for  Xmas

The middle paper is made up of two colours of Distress inks blended together then I've stamped with a script stamp added Heritage clear sparkle embossing powder to it, it is there honest and it does add a little sparkle in RL lol,

Sentiment stamp, flowers are  done with the  DI's only blended differently to make other colours, the scalloped circle is a Nestie die which I then ran threw the cutle bug dots embossing folder and highlighted the edges and the dots with Antique Linen Distress ink too,
The layered Arch is a new Martha Stewart punch and I love it!!!
Tilda is coloured with Copics,

Paperplay Challenge

Let it snow,Let it snow, Let it snow,
That's the challenge this week, chosen by our lovely talented Heather, so of course we want to see snow themed creations, check out the paperplay site for some gorgeous creations,
We are also being sponsored this week by the lovely Craft Brulee,
Challenges,
Creative Ispirations ~ Christmassy/ Winter
ABC ~ H is for Holidays,
This gorgeous image is designed by the fantastically talented DI available here and again the images have been coloured with copics,
This is one of the commissioned cards and I''ve not added many layers or added depth as I don't know if it's being posted, as I would have done the banner slightly bent forward other wise, the snow icicles are again a Martha Stewart punch which I've just edged the tips for icy shine,
Again my papers are distressed and sewn too,

The snow is Stickles Star dust and his fur trim is white flower soft mixed with a hint of Glamour Dust,
Look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations,

Made with Love xx

Hi peeps,
Wow I'm back, when I saw the challenge on Magnolia Down Under I just couldn't resist making this project, I got this stamp at the weekend and I love her, she's in the Christmas collection but she could be used any time I think so you'll probably see more of her lol,
on to the challenge which is for Shabby Chic, well I hope this is it, because I'm one of them that's not sure where that ends and vintage begins lol, so if I'm wrong you'll have to let me know, then forgive me lol,

I've quite a few piccies to show so you may want to get a cuppa before you start he he,

It's a difficult one to photograph this too, so you'll have to forgive me that too,

The image is coloured with Copics and after changing my face  colours I think it actually looks ok on screen as in RL they've looked ok before but the camera's not seen that lol,
all my paper edges are sewn, then distressed, the brown patterened paper is edged with a Magnoli Doo Hickey lace die cut, the tag has a script stamp used on it with a little tulle in the top, the lace matches the lace used for the box and was off a market stall, so was a good price too, the swirl on the main image is a clear stamp swirl but I don't know who's sorry!

The sides and back are covered with the lace and both sides have the added pearl gems,
I've put in another Magnolia image just to show it's a working drawer but I think I may give this to my mum for a Christmas gift,
The handle is a Tim Holtz idea-ology hitch fastener and fastens with a screw at the back of the drawer,
I've forgotten to take a picture of it but the top is a card which I can add a sentiment too later,
the edges of my image have antique linen applied with a blending tool,
to finish it off I've added a tulle bow, some more pearl gems, a rose which has platinum stickles added here and there, her Bolero  has Glamour Dust on it, what did I ever do with out that lol,
Papers are from the GCD Ella Blue collection, love these too,

Oh well, hope you've enjoyed looking, come back for a brew soon,

I have just nearly cried, BT is looking at my connection today and I'd just written all this when my screen went blank and my home page came up, I thought I'd lost all this edit, but thankfully when I went into edit posts their it was phew! maybe I love Mr Blogger after all lol,

Lady in Red

Hi peeps,
How's your weekend been? I've been excited as I won first on MDU, what an honour I feel like I've won the lottery, does that make me sad, no don't answer that lol,

My card today is for our lovely Die Cut Dreams challenge and it's to use staples on your work, it's good fun thinking of the ways to use these things and I know you will have fun,

This lovely girl is a Lily of the valley image, isn't she adorable which I've coloured in Copics and her fur muff is Glamour Dust, I cut her out her ringlets were a bit tricky I can tell you lol, and using Pin Flair gel raised her up a little,
as you can see I've sewn my card and the staples are added too,
I bought a gold dauber but I'm disappointed as it quite dull  and doesn't show like I thought it would (it's on the flowers)
Challenges:
Totally Gorjuss ~ Traditional Christmas colours,
Cute card Thursday ~ Anything Goes,
Lily of the Valley ~ Anything goes,

The rest of the recipe are, Magnolia Doo Hickey swirl, Raffia ribbon from Hobbycraft~ I went for some more of this and they've stopped selling it,
Magnolia Ticket stamp, Marianne design flower punch, Woodware Staples, Gold gems~ stash,
sorry not sure who's the paper is maybe Bo Bunny !
Pop over to DCD and see what my lovely team buddies have made too, then get those staples flowing lol,

Christmas is coming,

I want to scream very loudly!!!
On Sunday we called BT yet again and was told by an Indian man in India that he would send out an engineer today, well he came and because my fault is intermittent and it's working fine this morning he's gone away again with out doing anything!

Anyway deep breaths, onto my creation lol,
I'm entering this into
Magnolia Down Under ~ Make your own Embellishments,
Just Magnolia ~ Anything goes,
Sir Stampalot ~ Christmas Traditions,
I made this as a decoration for the table or some where and I know Tilda shouldn't really be looking and Santas not exactly in red,  but hey it is for Christmas and you should be able to get away with any thing then lol, only guess who didn't tell the kids that he he,
The window is made from one of  the winter scenes and the lamp post stamps, coloured and put behind acetate after being cut out of the main paper (Wallpaper) using a nestie to make a window effect then I've used A Doo Hickey die for a pelmet,
The bed is made from an old perscription box, covered in Magnolia paper the using a Martha Stewart Lattice punch I created two Headboards, then using a different paper and using some lace made a throw over for the bed and a pillow,
Behind Santa is a doily with a stool on to create a rug effect, the flowers are created with Marianne Dies using Magnolia paper too,
The images are coloured with Copics and I've added tags on the back of them so they stand up right,

For the window sill I've stamped the fir branch cut it out, raised it on 3d stickers added the hearts again on 3D foam to create a garland, well in theory anyway lol,
Finally it's tweaked her and there with some glitter, a pearl brad and L-EM puched leaves,
The tag can be removed as an extra too,

Phew I hope you like it because it took me ages, and I certainly made my own embellishments lol,
I've to monitor my computer yet again now for today and the lovely man from India will call again to see what's happening, I think my throat will be very sore lol,

All that Glitters...

Hi Peeps, Im back again and I'm loading another card because I tried to get on the internet earlier and you guessed it it wouldn't let me, when I got the new hub it so called put icons on my screen that are supposed to help you only after going through loads of stuff it said contact your  service provider as your internet   doesn't seem to be working! I didn't know whether to laugh or cry!!!
This card is full of Glitter only I can't seem to be able to make it show, where's Mandy when I need her lol,
the gorgeous image is by LOTV of course and I've decoupaged the little girl at the front, with my best cutting knife still broken and no chance to have got another and still having a sore thumb maybe it wasn't the wisest thing to have done lol,
the images are coloured in copics and I've changed my face colours, so hopefully they look better, the swirl is my favourite Doo Hickey, the flower and the snowflakes are Marianne design dies, and the border punch is Martha Stewart, all have loads of glitter, dazzling in fact you'll just have to trust me lol,
Challenges:
ABC ~ G is for Glitter,
ABC Christmas ~ Winter wonderland Extra White theme,
Simon Says ~ All White,
Hubby's going to look at the computer tonight and see what he can do, so hopefully I'll see you soon, but I apologize in advance if I don't visit you,

Oh No!

You'll never guess what, actually I bet you can my stupid internets playing up again, I can't believe it!
I've finally managed to get on here but it doesn't want to know my e-mail, so I think their must be a problem with the Windows live mail site and I will have to change it, GRRR it's going to be so much faffing!!!! but I will wait till hubby gets home and ask him lol, not that he's got a clue either he he,
Oh well I'd best put my cards on as who knows if I'll get back, yet again,
MY colour create card is the lovely Di's choice and she has chosen the colours of
Black, mint green, gold and cream with the optional extra of fireworks or sparkle,
and we are being sponsored by Michelle's Scrapbooking

now some of the girls have scratched their heads rather a lot over the extra and it is a bit of a head scratcher lol,but here's mine anyway lol,

I think some things telling me to give up with blogging as as well as my computer playing up I started this card and my E31 copic and my E51 copic ran out both of which were needed ,then my blade in my craft knife broke it broke the knife too so I'm not impressed and then to top it off my trimmer blade went blunt only not when it's being changed because it cut my thumb and it's still sore,
sorry my photo looks wishy washy yet another thing on that day lol,
Now for my Paperplay creation this time it's our lovely Evonne's choice and she has chosen
 circles lots of them,
we are sponsored by Stitchy Bear and because I can't get my mail I'm sorry but I can't tell you what my image is called, see the problems computers cause lol,

This proved hard to photograph so I'm sorry if it's not to clear but hopefully you get the idea lol,
Are any of you going to the NEC, wish I was but too many pennies spent on my glasses saga I'm afraid,
I would  have loved to meet you all though, may be next time, unless you come for a coffee that is lol,
Oh well, I do hope I get my stupid computer sorted, I really can't believe I'm still having problems it seems never ending, so hopefully I'll be seeing you later,

With Love

Hi peeps,
Wow it's lovely to have the internet again, I know how sad am I lol,it's one of those things were we can't live with it and we can't live with out it lol,
It's been pouring down here this afternoon so after giving Tilly a good bath I  decided to craft and made one using Autumn colours and I'm entering the following challenges,
Copic Creations ~ Brown and making a scene, hope this counts,
Bunny Zoes Crafts ~ Autumn Love,
Just Magnolia ~ Dawny P's  lovely  sketch,
I've masked the bride and groom so they are standing in front of the arch and used Autumn colours for the flowers it looks so different then when you use pinks etc,
I've coloured the whole of my images using copics and for the wood I was using my E31 when it started running out so some parts are not as blended as I'd like, hopefully you can see the brides dress has some copics on it too as it's hard to get the light right to show it,
The swirl is again the Doo Hickey, love this swirl, the roses are from stash as are the glass ones, pearl string is from Hobby craft, Gold stickles highlight the flowers too,
I've stitched my papers and the sentiment,
I finished the card off with some stamped swirl flowers but don't know if I like it or not, oh well too late now lol,
Hope your all having fun,

With a Heart

Hi, well my computer has let me onto the web this morning thank goodness, it' so annoying as I just never know when it's playing ball or not he he,
The challenge this week at DCD is for a project to feature a heart but with no colouring in, and it isn't easy I can tell you as you just want to rush for your copics or whatever lol, the card I've made I used to make quite a lot and when I worked they used to sell quite well, they look great made up with the colours of the Anniversary say red for Ruby but for this challenge I didn't have any, the heart is cut with a scalloped Nestie has acetate layered behind and  a bit of glitter round the edge,
My background card stock looks darker than it is in RL so it doesn't look as harsh, pearls are from stash, the bow is from a Christmas card last year that I saved, others are just peel offs,
Yeah just had a knock at the door my hubs come, lets hope this one works he he,
Have a lovely day,
