Beautiful Memories

Hi guys I'm here today hopefully as my internet keeps crashing!!!!! waiting for yet another modem so hope this solves it grrr!!!!
I have been saying for a few weeks I fancied attempting to do a scrap book page, well here is my first attempt ever!!!!!!! EEEKKKK

I have used a gorgeous photo Kay took of Tegan a few hours after she was born, I printed it onto matt photo paper but think I need so better quality stuff lol,
The gorgeous papers are of course Maja design  Sofiero collection and the clocks are from the Vintage Autumn Basics collection number XVI, sooooo love these papers I can't get enough of them he he,
the edges are distressed as usual and I tore the top left and curled the paper edges back, added some flowers and one of the fabby Prima Junkyard findings from Live and love crafts,
I added a little stitch effect stamping using a Lily of the Valley stamp too,
The clock design is made using some home made 3D texture paste and a crafters workshop stencil Mini travel time,
The beautiful Cheery Lynn flourishes I cut in two sizes and added a  butterfly made from Delight air dry clay from Crafts and Me,  which I made using a Martha Stewart mould,
The background is made by  adding a little Versa Magic chalk ink in Pink Petunia here and there, then layering some corrugated card board, strips of the papers, Tim Holtz film strip, Prima flowers, a charm and cheesecloth from my stash, pearl string from The Ribbon girl, Lace from Live and Love crafts and to soften off the strong colours on the flowers a little Picket Fence crackle paint,
At the bottom of the main focal point and lower left is another crafters workshop stencil called Art is,
I have made this for Kay, hope she will like it!!!

Challenges
The Ribbon Girl - Yellow/Lemon projects
Cheery Lynn - Mothers day
Fussy and Fancy - Pearls and Lace

Let me know what you think!!!
but please be kind lol!!!

Distress challenge at Bunny Zoe's

Hi guys, we're back today with our challenge over at Bunny Zoe's and this time it was my turn to choose the  distressing theme, this can be distress inks or distressing paper or both of course,
As you can I've really distressed my papers lol, the background paper has been distressed with a Tim Holtz distress tool and the top layer I have scrunched down by adding a little water to make the paper softer to shape,
The bottom papers are again slightly wet with water and shaped by hand to form pleats, these too were slightly distressed on the edges,
I got my inspiration for doing this with my papers from the fabulously talented Gabrielle, so love her work
The Image is coloured with my copics,
I made the flowers out of some of the paper from the same pad and added a pearl in the middle, too finish off the card I added a few pearl hearts and a Doo Hickey die, all links below,
I also added a little texture with home made 3D paste and a DD stencil,

Wednesday 16 April 2014

Hi guys, back today with a card I created for Bunny Zoe's using the gorgeous Magnolia stamp which is called Magnolia Tilda, she is one of my faves!!!!
I have coloured her with my distress re-inkers and added a hint of stickles on the hem of her dress,
I added hints well quite a few hints of gesso for a grunged look which I thought went well with the fabulous papers from the MME Heirloom paper pad, so love this pad,
The sentiment by Whimsy is added onto a spellbinders Ribbon die,
Closer view of Tilda and the gorgeous flowers which are also available from Nikki, behind the flower display is a Doo Hickey swirl from the leaf and swirl die set and I added a Kaisercraft sparklet in Fern
Nikki has a fantastic sale on at the moment so get grab yourself a bargain or two, I have lol!

Dutch Doobadoo April blog hop

Hi guys, the girls at Dutch Doobadoo are doing another blog hop  15th - 18th April
this time showing the shape art stencil

Here is what I have created with it,
I have cut round the stencil with a piece of card then added a piece of designer paper on the top and cut round the card stock, this way you get the exact cut out shape, I distressed my edges with a distress tool and inked with vintage photo, just because this is something I like to do,
I added a hint of a perfect pearls mist too on the paper for a little added detail,
the gorgeous DD  card board bird houses  472.309.005 I covered with some paper and cut round the shapes with a knife, the one on the ground I added a lolly stick which I trimmed down to size, covered with gesso and added a script stamp too,

The bird is from the same set and this time I have painted it with chalk effect acrylic paint and added a pearl dot for it's eye,
In the left hand side corner I added some of my favourite  honeycomb soft board and then layered a few flowers and cheesecloth,

To finish off the project I added a brick effect using home made 3d paste coloured when dry with chalks and I added a butterfly made a  Martha Stewart mould and delight air dry clay from Crafts and Me,
The beautiful tree branch die my lovely sister lent me and I have cut it out using grunge board and coloured it using chalk again and added some cut out flowers from the same die, a little cheesecloth finishes it off too,
You should have come from Monique, if so your on the right track if not go back to Dutch Doobadoo for the list, when you have done all the hop and left your comments go back to DD and leave a comment on there to let us know you've finished,
hope we've given you some inspiration on using DD products,
